The Hotel Etrusco is near the Loreto Metro station just down the road to Duomo and sights are only a few stops down the track. There are shopping on Corso Buenos Aires and Pizzeria Spontini -a few blocks away- serves up great authentic wood-fired pizzas. The hotel has lovely garden pleasant renovated rooms and good facilities for this price range including free parking. With its cosy reception area and lovely light-filled tea room it makes a good place to relax for a day or 2 if you"re on a self-drive tour around the north of Italy. All the rooms of the hotel have been updated and are furnished in a clean unfussy style with decent bathrooms. There are 6 rooms with terraces overlooking the garden area and these are the pick of the bunch. Unlike some other hotels in Milan the bar fridge is decently stocked and the satellite TV. Even if you have a hire car it"s best just to leave it here and take the Metro everywhere as it"s just a short walk to Metro Loreto.
