Cuneo province, called "The big one" (in Piedmont dialect: "La Provincia Granda") is the most extended area of Piedmont, crossed and protected by a multitude of wonderful valleys reaching Liguria and France borders. Alter Hotel, distillery first, textile factory then, was built up between the end of the Nineteenth Century and the early Twenties.
