Easter in Sicily
(8 Days - 7 Nights: Caltanissetta, Palermo, Monreale, Agrigento, Siracusa, Piazza Armerina) 1 - 8 April 2010
Day 1 – Thursday 1st April 2010
Arrival in Sicily in the afternoon, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Friday 2 April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. City tour of Caltanissetta and its old town centre
in the morning. Lunch at the restaurant. Short tour of the Churches of
Caltanissetta to admire the “Vare Piccole” and “Vare Grandi” in the afternoon
(grand statuary groups representing some moments of Jesus Christ’s life). Dinner
at the restaurant and then you will have the opportunity to watch the
“Scinnenza”, an acting of the last hours of living of J. Christ before dying
crucified. At the end of the acting return to the hotel, dinner and
overnight.
Day 3 – Saturday 3st April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. The whole day is dedicated to a guided sightseeing
tour of Palermo and Monreale. After lunch at the restaurant you will have
time at your disposal to go shopping or for
individual tours among the streets of Sicily main town. Return to the hotel in
the evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Sunday 4th April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. Time at your disposal in Caltanissetta during the
morning, you may attend the Holy Easter Mass, or else you can visit the town on
your own. Lunch at the hotel and tour of the famous “Valle dei Templi” in
Agrigento in the afternoon. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
Day 5 – Monday 5 April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. You will spend the Easter Monday in a rural
environment, a full immersion in the nature all day long and you will also
prepare your barbecue and have fun. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
Day 6 – Tuesday 6 April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. During the whole day you will visit the town of
Siracusa, its archaeological area and the old town centre. Lunch at the
restaurant. Return to the hotel in the evening, dinner,
overnight.
Day 7 – Wednesday 7 April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of “Villa Romana del Casale” in Piazza
Armerina and its famous mosaics in the morning. After lunch at the restaurant
transfer to Enna to visit this town and its
castle. Return to the hotel in the evening, dinner, overnight.
Day 8 – Thursday 8 April 2010
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and departure for your
return journey. End of our services.
