    📅 Your 8-Day Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Bari – Welcome Dinner
    Arrival at Bari airport (BRI). Check-in at your hotel or masseria. Free time to stroll through Bari's charming city center. Evening: welcome dinner featuring local Apulian products. Overnight in Bari area.
    Day 2: Bari Tour + Polignano a Mare – Optional Orecchiette Class
    Breakfast. Meet your local guide for a tour of Bari's old town: Basilica of Saint Nicholas, Cathedral of San Sabino, Norman-Spanish Castle. Free time or optional cooking class – learn to make orecchiette pasta. Afternoon: transfer to Polignano a Mare, the stunning cliffside village and birthplace of Domenico Modugno ("Volare"). Free time for walking and shopping. Return to Bari. Overnight.

    Day 3: Ostuni (White City) + Terracotta Workshop → Lecce
    Depart for Ostuni, the "White City". Free time to explore its whitewashed alleys, stairways, and courtyards. Morning terracotta workshop – learn from a skilled craftsman and create your own sculpture to take home. Afternoon transfer to Lecce, the "Florence of the South". Welcome dinner with traditional Salento dishes. Overnight in Lecce.
    Day 4: Lecce – Baroque Gems & Optional Pizzica Dance Class
    Breakfast. Guided walking tour of Lecce: Messapian origins, Roman remains, Baroque churches and palaces – an open-air museum. After the tour, enjoy an optional Pizzica Class – learn the traditional Salento tarantella dance with local instructors. Free time for lunch and shopping along Via dei Trinci. Overnight in Lecce.
    Day 5: Otranto – Easternmost Town & Cathedral
    Depart for Otranto, the easternmost city in Italy. Stroll through the Borgo Antico (UNESCO). Visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata (famous mosaic floor), Torre del Serpe, Aragonese Castle, Palazzo dei Mori, and Palazzo Lopez. Lunch at a local restaurant with regional specialties. Return to Lecce. Free time. Dinner on your own. Overnight.
    Day 6: Gallipoli – Castle, Cathedral & Greek-Roman Fountain
    Depart for Gallipoli. See the Castle (exterior), Cathedral, and the Greco-Roman Fountain. Free time for walking, shopping, or enjoying the seaside. Dinner on your own. Return to Lecce. Overnight.
    Day 7: Altamura Bread Experience → Matera – Sassi & Olive Oil Museum
    Depart for Altamura. Visit an old bakery to learn about Altamura DOP bread (sourdough, sea salt, water). Tasting included. Lunch at a local trattoria. Afternoon: transfer to Matera, the UNESCO "Stone City". Guided tour: Cathedral, San Giovanni Battista, San Domenico, Santa Maria della Valle Verde, and the Rock Churches. Visit the MOOM (Museum of Olive Oil) with DOC olive oil tasting. Farewell dinner ("di arrivederci"). Overnight in Matera.
    Day 8: Matera – Departure
    Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Free time for last-minute shopping or optional activities. Departure for Bari airport (BRI) or your next destination. End of services.
