    Day 1: Arrival in Rome – Trastevere Dinner
    Arrival at Rome's airport (FCO/CIA). Check-in at your hotel. Free time to explore the Eternal City. Evening: meet in Trastevere (dinner not included) for a welcome dinner at a typical Roman restaurant. Overnight in Rome.
    Day 2: Rome City Tour + Maritozzo Tasting → Bari
    Breakfast. Meet your local guide for a city tour: Colosseum (outside), Imperial Forums, Capitoline Hill, Altar of the Fatherland (Piazza Venezia). Trevi Fountain (toss a coin for good luck!), Pantheon (outside), and Piazza Navona with its Baroque fountains. During the tour, enjoy a tasting of Maritozzi – traditional Roman cream-filled sweet pastries. Time for lunch (not included), relaxation, and shopping. Depart for Bari. Check-in at hotel. Free time for dinner (not included). Overnight in Bari.
    Day 3: Bari + Polignano a Mare → Lecce
    Breakfast. Meet your guide for a tour of Bari's old town: San Nicola Cathedral (relics of St. Nicholas), Swabian-Norman Castle. Visit Via Arcobasso ("Orecchiette Street") where locals handcraft the region's famous pasta. Depart for Polignano a Mare – birthplace of Domenico Modugno ("Volare"). Explore the historic center with its Arab, Byzantine, Spanish, and Norman influences. Free time for walking and shopping. Late afternoon: depart for Lecce. Check-in at hotel. Free time for dinner (not included). Overnight in Lecce.
    Day 4: Lecce Baroque Tour + Puccia Tasting + Otranto
    Breakfast. Guided tour of Lecce – the Baroque capital of southern Italy. Enter through Porta Napoli, stroll past 18th-century residences to Piazza del Duomo. Highlights: Torre Sineira (exterior), Santa Maria dell'Assunta Cathedral (exterior), Episcopal Palace, Diocesan Museum (exterior). Walk through historic streets: Colonna di Sant'Orozio, Roman amphitheater, Castello Carlo V (exterior) – now home to the Papier-mâché Museum. Taste Puccia bread – a soft round bread stuffed or seasoned to taste. Afternoon: depart for Otranto, a gem of Salento. Explore the Borgo Antico with defensive walls, Aragonese Castle, and cathedral. Enjoy the natural beauty and beaches. Dinner at a local restaurant with typical dishes. Return to Lecce. Overnight.
    Day 5: Ostuni (White City) + Olive Oil Mill + Alberobello Trulli → Bari Farewell Dinner
    Breakfast. Depart for Ostuni – the "White City," famous for its whitewashed historic center. Explore narrow streets, piazzas, alleys, and the old city gates Porta Nova and Porta San Demetrio. Visit a local olive oil mill to learn about extra virgin olive oil production, see the machinery, and taste different varieties. Continue to Alberobello for lunch (not included). Explore Rione Monti – over 1,000 traditional Trulli houses (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996). Late afternoon: return to Bari. Check-in at hotel. Evening: farewell dinner with local products.
