How to Visit the Amalfi Coast Region
The Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s most spectacular coastal regions located south of Naples. The easiest way to reach the area is via Naples International Airport (Capodichino). From the airport it takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by road to reach Sorrento, which is an ideal base for exploring the region.
From Sorrento travelers can easily visit Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast villages, Capri and Naples. Private transport or guided tours are recommended due to the winding coastal roads and limited parking.
