8 Days Rome & Fatima Tour
This tour is considered as a religious tour. We call this pilgrimage of Catholics for you will see the Vatican in Rome and Fatima the holy town. Day 01 Rome Tuesday
Upon
arrival in Rome, meeting with your tour guide who will help you to meet your
coach and help with luggage. During transfer to your hotel you will enjoy a
panoramic tour from the motor coach of some of Rome?s sites, such as the
Capitoline Hill, The Colosseum, The Forum, Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus,
and Palazzo Venezia. Balance of day is at leisure to rest, shop or go
sightseeing. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
2nd day ? Wednesday Rome
After
breakfast depart for Papal Audience. Time for lunch on your own and in the
afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of the "Eternal City." The tour will include
the Catacombs and the
three major basilicas in Rome: St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, and St. Paul
Outside the Walls. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
3rd day ? Thursday Roma
After
breakfast, meet your licensed local guide for a half-day tour of magnificent St.
Peter?s Basilica including a visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine
Chapel. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
4th day ? Friday Rome / Fatima
After
breakfast meet your assistant and driver and transfer to the airport. Depart for
Fatima via air. You will be met by our professional tour guide at Lisbon Airport
and transferred to hotel
in Fatima. Short panoramic tour of the beautiful city of Lisbon, enroute. Dinner
and overnight in Fatima.
5th day ? Saturday Fatima
Breakfast
at hotel. During the morning visit the places of interest in the Cova da Iria
which includes the Basilica, with the tombs of the children, Jacinta and
Francisco, and Sr. Lucia, the Chapel of the Apparitions (Capelinha), and the
miraculous fountain. Visit will also include the original homes of the children,
the cemetery and the parish church. Lunch on your own and afternoon at leisure
In the evening ( according to season ) evening candlelight procession. Dinner
and overnight at hotel in Fatima.
6th day ? Sunday Fatima
Full
free day in Fatima for personal devotion. Optional tours can be organized, such
as the spectacular monasteries of Batalha, Alcobaca, and the picturesque
fishing village of Nazare.
Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
7th day ? Monday Fatima / Lisbon
After
breakfast long distance transfer to Lisbon. Stop enroute in Santarem to view the
"Miracle of the Bleeding Host" and celebrate Mass. Arrival to Lisbon and enjoy a
half day tour visiting the Pra?a do Comercio, the nicest of Lisbon and
often compared to Venice's St. Mark?s Square and Alfama, the oldest quarter of
Lisbon, to see the Castelo de Sao Jorge, a Moorish castle with medieval
ramparts. Tour is also including visit of St. Anthony?s Basilica and the nearby
Lisbon Cathedral. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Lisbon.
8th day ? Tuesday Lisbon / Destination
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Lisbon airport for return flight home.
